New Delhi: The city police on Saturday, March 14, arrested a Nigerian national who had been absconding in connection with a major synthetic drug trafficking case.
The accused was identified as Chukwu Jekwo Ebenezer Umesh, 65, and was apprehended from his hideout in New Delhi.
Police sources confirmed that he is the fifth person arrested in the case, which relates to the seizure of synthetic drugs worth Rs50 lakh in November 2025. Authorities are continuing investigations to trace other accomplices involved in the drug network.
