Four Arrested for MDMA Drug Sales in Vittal, Karnataka

Police seize 17.97g MDMA, knives during raid in Bantwal

The Vittal Police have arrested four individuals for allegedly selling illegal drugs in the Bhagavant Kodi area of Netlu Mudnur village, Bantwal taluk.

The primary accused, Ashraf G (38), who was residing in a rented house, reportedly stored MDMA and supplied it to customers. Acting on a specific tip-off, a team led by Ratnakumar M, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Vittal police station conducted a raid at the premises.

Along with Ashraf G, the other arrested individuals are:

Afwan

Ashraf N.A.

During the operation, authorities seized about 17.97 grams of MDMA, valued at approximately Rs1,79,700, along with a knife and other items. The materials were confiscated, and a case was registered at Vittal police station under Crime No. 61/2026.

The accused have been booked under Sections 8(C) and 22(C) of the NDPS Act, 1985, and Section 27 of the Arms Act. Investigations are ongoing to trace the larger drug network involved in this operation.
