Paducah – A month-long investigation into methamphetamine sales led to the arrest of Lana M. Ford, 49, of Carolina Street, McCracken County, Monday morning, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Detectives received tips in February that Ford was selling meth locally. A controlled purchase was conducted as part of the investigation before an arrest warrant was sought.
With assistance from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Ford was located at a residence on Needmore Road and arrested without incident. Authorities found approximately 17.6 grams of methamphetamine in her purse at the time.
Ford was booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail and faces multiple charges, including:
Trafficking in methamphetamine (2nd or subsequent offense)
Possession of marijuana
Possession of a hallucinogen
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Additional charges are expected in Marshall County. The Sheriff’s Office acknowledged the assistance of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.
