oida Police have busted a gang allegedly involved in forging visas and duping people by promising overseas jobs, arresting one key member, authorities said on Monday.

Saksham Sharma, also known as Bittu Sharma, was arrested from ATS Road near the Sai Nursery area on Sunday. The action followed a complaint filed at Bisrakh Police Station on March 7.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Shakti Mohan Avasthy stated that the accused, along with Rajiv Sharma (alias Surendra), had set up an office called “Sky Visa Venture” at Gaur City Mall. The gang reportedly contacted victims via phone and other channels, promising to arrange work visas for jobs abroad.

The accused would obtain passports under the pretext of processing visas but later created fake visas and sent them to clients through WhatsApp. Police said the gang cheated multiple people, defrauding them of lakhs of rupees.

Investigations are ongoing to trace additional victims and other members of the gang involved in the fraudulent visa operations.
