In a targeted operation against drug trafficking in Bhojpur district, Ara police arrested Golu Paswan and his wife on Monday, seizing over 100 grams of heroin valued at more than Rs 50 lakh.
Golu Paswan, son of Ramswaroop Paswan and resident of Gausganj under Ara Town police jurisdiction, was apprehended along with his wife while allegedly smuggling heroin.
According to SHO Devraj Rai of Ara Town police station, the couple is being interrogated to trace the supply chain and determine if they are connected to organized drug trafficking networks. The exact identity of the woman has not yet been confirmed, and further investigation is ongoing.
A named FIR has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Ara Town police station. Authorities are continuing their probe to uncover additional details about the operation and any links to larger criminal networks.
