A late-night traffic stop in the Manahawkin section of Stafford Township led to the arrest of local resident Eugene Samuels on multiple narcotics charges.

At approximately 11:45 PM, Patrolman Ryan Cahill stopped a vehicle on Barnacle Drive, identifying the driver as 45-year-old Samuels of Morris Boulevard. Suspicious behavior prompted officers to call Detective Zach Wiatrowski and his Narcotic K-9 partner, Venus, to assist with the investigation.

K-9 Venus indicated the presence of illegal substances, and a subsequent search of the vehicle revealed:

Samuels was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters. He now faces multiple charges, including felony-level narcotics violations and disorderly persons offenses.
