A 38-year-old man, Kailash Sonawane, was murdered following a petty dispute in Sonzhari village, police reported.
The accused, Pawan Lonbale (30), was arrested within hours by the local rural police.
Incident Details
According to the FIR lodged at Umred Police Station, the altercation began when Lonbale objected to the construction of a toilet near his house, which led to a verbal and physical scuffle with the victim.
During the confrontation, Pawan allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Kailash Sonawane to death, police said.
Police Action
The complaint was filed by Ganesh Sonawane (51), a relative of the victim. Following the complaint, officers from Umred Police Station immediately took action and apprehended the accused on the same day.
Authorities have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and are investigating the incident further.
