CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. — A Havelock woman has been arrested following an identity theft investigation, the Craven County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Deputies received a report of identity theft on Saturday, February 7, and the case was assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau.
Investigators identified Samone George Thomas, 38, as the suspect. On Monday, February 16, Thomas was arrested and charged with felony identity theft, felony financial card theft, and felony obtaining property by false pretense.
Thomas is currently being held at the Craven County Confinement Facility under a $30,000 secured bond. No additional details have been released.
