GREENVILLE, Pitt County — A Plymouth man faces several felony charges after authorities discovered cocaine in the pre-booking area of the Pitt County Detention Center following his arrest by Greenville Police on Sunday, March 1.
Kenneth Ford, 41, was charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony possession of a controlled substance on jail premises, felony possession of a firearm by a felon, and misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun.
According to arrest warrants, Ford allegedly possessed several grams of cocaine with intent to sell or deliver. Authorities say four small baggies of cocaine were found in the pre-booking area of the detention center.
The warrants also indicate Ford had a Canik 9mm firearm in his possession. Ford has a prior felony conviction for possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine from March 28, 2018, for which he pleaded guilty on March 13, 2019, in Washington County Superior Court and served an active prison sentence.
Ford remains in the Pitt County Detention Center under a secured bond totaling $105,000.
