Two Wanchese residents are facing numerous felony drug charges following a probation search in Dare County.
Deputies with the Dare County Sheriff’s Office arrested Amanda Wells, 39, and Raymond Thomas Jr., 46, on Thursday.
Wells faces an extensive list of charges, including:
Felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance
Felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Felony conspiracy to traffic opium/heroin
Felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver methamphetamine
Two counts of maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for controlled substances
Felony sell/deliver fentanyl
Felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver fentanyl
Thomas is charged with:
Felony conspiracy to traffic opium/heroin
Felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver methamphetamine
Felony maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for controlled substances
Both were transported to Dare County Jail. Wells is being held on a $275,000 secured bond, while Thomas is held on a $135,000 secured bond.
