ARCHDALE, N.C. — Debra Walton faces felony arson and animal cruelty charges following a residential fire in Randolph County.
The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded on February 18, 2026, to a domestic disturbance call on Weant Road in Archdale. Shortly afterward, deputies received a report of a residential fire at the same location.
Deputies coordinated with fire personnel and located Walton in a nearby outbuilding. She was taken for a medical evaluation before the investigation continued.
Following the inquiry, Walton was charged with felony second-degree arson and four counts of cruelty to animals. On February 23, she was arrested in Guilford County and transported to the Guilford County Detention Center, where she was served with the warrant.
Walton was given a $75,000 secured bond. Her next court date is scheduled for March 16, 2026, in Randolph County District Court.
