Tony Lamar Sullens, a 59-year-old Georgia man, was arrested by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) after a search of his Dahlonega home uncovered a significant amount of illegal drugs. The arrest took place on November 15 after authorities served a probation warrant, which led to the discovery of over 600 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 80+ suspected hydrocodone pills, and more than 110 suspected alprazolam pills.
Following the search, Sullens was taken into custody and transported to the Lumpkin County Detention Center. He now faces multiple charges, including trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance—Schedule II, and possession of a controlled substance—Schedule IV.
The investigation was a joint effort by the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Community Supervision, and the GBI Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather more information related to the case.
