Panjala police arrested 48-year-old Yahya Kokkada after seizing MDMA from him during a routine daytime patrol.
On Tuesday, February 10, at around 6:00 p.m., officers noticed Kokkada acting suspiciously and detained him for questioning. During the interrogation, he reportedly admitted to possessing MDMA with the intention of selling it.
During the seizure procedure (mahazar), police confiscated 2.16 grams of MDMA, valued at approximately Rs3,000, along with an iPhone worth ₹45,000 and a Samsung keypad mobile phone worth Rs1,000 — totaling Rs49,000 in assets.
The accused has been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway to determine the extent of his involvement in drug distribution.
