Detectives with the Prince George’s County Police Department Homicide Unit have charged a Washington, D.C., man in connection with a fatal shooting Tuesday night in Hyattsville.

Jalleel Jackson is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Christopher Hall of Carrollton, Virginia.

According to police, officers responded around 10:45 p.m. on February 10, 2026, to a reported shooting in the 3300 block of 52nd Avenue in the unincorporated section of Hyattsville, Maryland. When officers arrived, they located Hall suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died.

Preliminary findings indicate the shooting stemmed from a dispute between the two men, who were coworkers at the business where the incident occurred. Investigators allege Jackson shot Hall during the confrontation.

The department’s Fugitive Unit, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, apprehended Jackson in Washington, D.C. He remains there pending extradition to Prince George’s County.

Jackson faces first-degree murder and related charges. The investigation remains ongoing.
