David Ousley Arrested in Floyd County Drug Trafficking Case

Large drug seizure follows KSP raid at Martin home

MARTIN, Ky. — A Floyd County man was arrested Thursday after Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at his residence and seized a large quantity of drugs, firearms, and cash.

Officers with the Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigations East Unit served a warrant at the Sunny Road home of David Ousley, 44. During the search, troopers seized nearly three-quarters of a pound of methamphetamine, 23 Xanax bars, three oxycodone tablets, 21 methadone wafers, 26 Tramadol tablets, and approximately seven pounds of marijuana.

Authorities also recovered 21 long guns, 10 handguns, and about $5,400 in cash, according to police.

After being advised of his rights, Ousley allegedly told investigators that he had been trafficking drugs for several years and routinely traveled to Atlanta to purchase up to two kilograms of drugs at a time. Police say he also admitted to having multiple customers who bought drugs in ounce quantities.

Ousley has been charged with four counts of drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is currently being held on a $25,000 cash bond.
