A Scarbro man has been sentenced to prison following convictions for unlawful assault and second-offense domestic battery in Fayette County.
Robert A. Hull, 46, was sentenced on Feb. 9, 2026, by Circuit Judge Thomas K. Fast. Hull received a prison term of one to five years for the felony unlawful assault charge and an additional one-year jail sentence for misdemeanor domestic battery. The sentences were ordered to run consecutively, requiring Hull to serve at least one year and six months before becoming eligible for parole.
Hull pleaded guilty to both charges on Dec. 17, 2025.
According to court records, the charges stem from a Feb. 16, 2025, incident at a residence on Forsythia Lane in Charlton Heights. Prosecutors said Hull physically assaulted his estranged wife, ripping a necklace from her neck during the attack. The victim suffered broken ribs and fled to a neighbor’s home to seek help before receiving medical treatment for her injuries.
Hull’s domestic battery conviction was classified as a second offense due to a prior conviction involving the same victim in August 2020 in Kanawha County.
The case was investigated by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department and prosecuted by Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Jennifer D. Crane.
