Walnut Creek Police Arrest 16 in Retail Theft Operation

16 suspects arrested in connection with retail theft during proactive crime suppression operation

The Walnut Creek Police Department announced the arrest of 16 individuals during a proactive crime suppression operation aimed at curbing retail theft in downtown Walnut Creek. The operation, which took place on November 9, resulted in the recovery of 100 stolen items.

  10. Saman Haghpast-Rad (Milwaukee)
  11. Montserrat Luján-Perdono (Walnut Creek)
  12. Eric Ziko (Oakland)
  13. Kisha Harris (Antioch)
  14. Daison Londono (San Francisco)
  15. David Denton (Berkeley)
  16. Juvenile (Name withheld)

Walnut Creek Police emphasized that this operation is part of their ongoing efforts to protect local businesses and ensure the safety of shoppers. Police also issued a lighthearted reminder to potential criminals, saying, “A tip to thieves coming to Walnut Creek to commit thefts: don’t be a grinch this holiday season.”

In a separate incident on the same day, another retail theft operation led to the arrests of nine individuals, including several from the Bay Area. This latest operation follows ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to crack down on crime and keep Walnut Creek a safe and welcoming place for the community.

The Walnut Creek Police Department thanked the community and local business partners for their support in combating retail theft and maintaining public safety.
