A Paducah man was arrested Wednesday after a routine traffic stop led to the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, authorities said.
Gregory Pannell, 43, was pulled over around 4:15 p.m. Jan. 29 near Blandville Road and Highland Church Road by McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies for traffic violations. During the stop, deputies reportedly found approximately 29 grams of suspected methamphetamine, multiple items of drug paraphernalia, and a large amount of cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.
Pannell was taken into custody and booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail. He faces four charges: first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (second or greater offense involving more than 2 grams of methamphetamine), no operator’s license, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.
The investigation into Pannell’s activities remains ongoing, authorities said.
