A Lyon County woman was arrested Friday in Paducah, Kentucky, on drug trafficking charges following an undercover operation by multiple law enforcement agencies.
Ashley Wooldridge, 45, allegedly attempted to sell methamphetamine to undercover detectives, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said the investigation began Jan. 30 after receiving a tip that Wooldridge was selling meth in the area.
Detectives reportedly contacted Wooldridge by cellphone, and she agreed to a transaction at Trail Loop Drive in Paducah. Around 5:42 p.m., two undercover detectives met Wooldridge in an apartment complex parking lot. A search following her arrest revealed approximately nine grams of suspected methamphetamine on her person.
The operation was conducted jointly by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, Paducah Police Department, and Livingston County Sheriff’s Office. Wooldridge was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine, greater than two grams) and booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
