WASHINGTON COUNTY, Pa. — A Washington County man is behind bars following a multi-state drug investigation targeting the distribution of heroin, cocaine, and crack-cocaine across parts of western Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Authorities said 53-year-old Archie Orison was arrested during a traffic stop on State Route 18 in Burgettstown. Police reported that Orison was found in possession of crack cocaine at the time of the arrest. He is now being held at the Washington County Correctional Facility.

Following Orison’s arrest, the Jefferson County Drug Task Force in Ohio executed a search warrant at a residence in Steubenville. During the operation, another individual was taken into custody after authorities recovered cocaine, crack cocaine, and more than $15,000 in cash.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office indicated that additional charges are pending against Orison and warned that further arrests may occur as the investigation continues.

Officials emphasized the ongoing collaboration between law enforcement agencies in Pennsylvania and Ohio to disrupt the illegal drug trade in the region.
