City police have arrested Mohsin Hussain in connection with an illegal drug supply case, following the earlier arrest of Danish, who was caught with 11.90 grams of MD drugs worth approximately Rs1.2 lakh.
Police said that, based on questioning and information from informers, Mohsin Hussain’s role in supplying drugs became evident. He had been absconding since the incident. Mohsin reportedly sourced drugs from other districts and distributed them to local users.
Mohsin, who works in furniture repair, has a criminal history, including five prior arrests for theft, Arms Act violations, and assault. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered, and further legal proceedings are underway.
In a separate case, two people were arrested in connection with a land fraud in the Khajrana area. The accused, Sheikh Imroz and Raziya Khan, allegedly prepared forged documents to register a plot in their name for fraudulent purposes.
The case was uncovered after a complaint by Furkan Hussain. Police investigation revealed that the duo, along with associates, attempted to register a plot in Parshwakunj Colony using fake documents. Following a preliminary inquiry, a case under relevant sections of the BNS was registered.
Both Imroz and Raziya were arrested and produced before court, which sent them to remand. Police are continuing to question the accused to identify other people involved in the fraud.
