BEAUFORT COUNTY, NC — A multi-agency investigation led to the arrest of 40-year-old Cornelious Antoine Keyes of Stokes on multiple drug and firearm charges.
Authorities said deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit, along with agents from the NC State Bureau of Investigation and the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office, executed two search warrants at residences linked to Keyes on Jan. 23.
During the searches, law enforcement seized:
192 grams of fentanyl
137 grams of methamphetamine
86 grams of cocaine
1,257 grams of marijuana
35 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
$5,916 in cash
A firearm
Keyes was taken into custody and is being held at the Pitt County Detention Center without bond.
He faces numerous charges, including:
Two counts of trafficking fentanyl
Two counts of trafficking methamphetamine
Trafficking cocaine by possession
Three counts of possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine
Two counts of possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana
Two counts of felony possession of marijuana
Felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance
Possession of a firearm by a felon
Felony maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substances
