Anthony Hill Arrested for Cocaine in New Bern Traffic Stop

43-year-old faces multiple drug-related felony charges

NEW BERN, Craven County, NC — A Craven County man was arrested after deputies discovered cocaine and marijuana during a traffic stop, according to the Craven County Sheriff’s Office.

On January 23, 2026, deputies with the Criminal Patrol Bureau stopped a vehicle on River Road near Weyerhaeuser Road for a traffic violation. During a search of the vehicle, authorities located cocaine and marijuana.

Anthony Lamont Hill, 43, of Sampson Street in New Bern, was charged with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hill was taken to the Craven County Confinement Facility and placed under a $15,000 secured bond.
