Purnia, Bihar: Police have arrested Vishal Kumar, the owner of the bike used in the murder of 28-year-old Suraj Bihari, and recovered the weapon and vehicle linked to the crime.
Suraj, son of corn merchant Jawahar Yadav, was shot dead on January 27 near Newalal Chowk in the Maranga police station area, allegedly following a dispute over a photo posted on Instagram.
According to a statement by Purnia Police, a team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ali Sabri, along with the SOG and Chita teams of Bihar STF, traced and recovered the bike and firearm from Vishal, a resident of Rajendra Vihar, Purnia.
Authorities said investigations are ongoing and police are making all efforts to apprehend all those involved in the murder.
