LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (WAFB) — A Denham Springs woman has been arrested in connection with an alleged Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) fraud case, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said Amiracle Brooks, 41, is accused of failing to report her true income while employed at a local health facility and submitting false information to obtain government benefits. Authorities allege Brooks improperly received more than $17,000 in SNAP benefits between September 2022 and June 2024.
Brooks was arrested and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center, where she faces charges related to benefits fraud.
The investigation remains ongoing.
