In a major breakthrough in the Bio Estate Solutions Pvt. Ltd. cheating case, the Economic Offences Cell (EOC) police have arrested the alleged mastermind behind the multi-crore fraud that cheated several residents of Goa.
Police said Bio Estate Solutions Pvt. Ltd., along with its directors and agents, allegedly lured Goan residents into fraudulent investment schemes and cheated them of crores of rupees.
Earlier in the investigation, four accused agents — Subhash Bhaskar Dhuri, Digamber N. Bhatt, Sarika Dinanath Pilankar, and Soma Govind Gaonkar — were arrested and are currently in judicial custody.
Based on sustained technical surveillance and human intelligence, EOC police traced the prime accused Shivaji s/o late Rakhamaji Walke (48), a Chartered Accountant, resident of Borivali (East), Mumbai, and Director of Bio Estate Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
A special team from the EOC Police Station, led by Police Inspector Tukaram V. Chavan, proceeded to Mumbai and apprehended the accused from Borivali. He was subsequently brought to Goa and formally arrested in connection with the case.
Further investigation is underway under PI Tukaram V. Chavan, guided by Deputy Superintendent of Police (EOC) Francisco X. Corte and supervised by Superintendent of Police (EOC) Arshi Aadil, IPS.
