Chamba Police Arrest Trio with 1.564 kg Charas

Three men held near Dalhousie during highway check

Chamba police have seized 1.564 kg of charas and arrested three individuals near Dalhousie. Superintendent of Police Vijay Kumar Saklani stated that a team led by Dalhousie SHO Jagbir Singh was on routine patrol along the Chamba–Pathankot National Highway.

During the patrol, a checkpoint was set up near Lahad to inspect passing vehicles. A taxi traveling from Tissa to Pathankot was stopped, and a search revealed 1.564 kg of charas. All three passengers were taken into custody.

The arrested have been identified as Anuj Kumar (39) from Dharwas, Rafiq Mohammad (34) from Kulunda, and Jagdish Sharma (36) from Sarela in Churah subdivision. A case has been registered against them under the NDPS Act.
