WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. — Police have charged Jim King, a Williamsburg resident, in connection with a shooting near the intersection of KY-11 and KY-92 on Thursday night, according to the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities reported that King initially fled the scene but was later taken into custody. Deputies say the incident left a victim with a single gunshot wound, who was flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center and is currently in stable condition.
King faces charges of assault and multiple counts of wanton endangerment. Law enforcement officials emphasized the seriousness of firearm-related offenses and continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
