DVAC Arrests Jeevitha in Land Bribery Case

Land Surveyor, Assistant Detained for Bribe

The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) arrested a land surveyor and her assistant for bribery in Attur on Wednesday evening (September 17, 2025).

The arrested individuals were identified as Jeevitha, 28, a land surveyor in the Attur taluk office, and her assistant Kannadasan. Officials said that Kumaresan, 58, a resident of Thulakkanur and a farmer, had approached Jeevitha to transfer his name on a recently purchased piece of land.

During the investigation, DVAC found that Jeevitha and her assistant had demanded a bribe to complete the land transfer, leading to their immediate arrest. The case is under further investigation to uncover the full extent of the illegal transaction.
