FALLON, Nev. — A 56-year-old Fallon man, Bradley Emery, was killed Monday evening after being struck by a vehicle on US-50, the Nevada Highway Patrol reported.
The fatal crash occurred just east of Gummow Drive shortly before 6 p.m. Preliminary investigations indicate Emery was walking across US-50 outside a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a westbound Mercury Grand Marquis sedan in the left lane.
Emergency responders transported Emery to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
The driver of the Mercury Grand Marquis remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. The Nevada Highway Patrol Major Incident Reconstruction Team is leading the investigation.
