HORRY COUNTY, S.C. — Dr. Robert Kroepel, a 59-year-old dentist from Murrells Inlet, has returned to seeing patients following his arrest last week on multiple drug-related charges.
Jail records show the South Carolina Department of Health arrested Kroepel on seven counts of violating drug distribution laws on Friday. He was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center and released later that day on a $20,000 bond.
Kroepel operates New York Dental South, located off Inlet Square Drive near Highway 17 Business. WMBF News reporters visited the office seeking comment, but staff indicated that Kroepel was attending to patients.
A Freedom of Information Act request has been submitted to the South Carolina Department of Health for further details about the charges, though the report has not yet been released.
