GREENVILLE — A 35-year-old Greenville man, Wilbert Latroy Dixon, was arrested on January 16 following a drug-related investigation, according to Greenville Police Department reports.
Dixon faces multiple felony charges, including possession of cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, resisting a public officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Authorities allege Dixon possessed cocaine and other controlled substances, including two bindles of purple powder and multiple baggies containing fentanyl, with the intent to sell. During the arrest, police said Dixon resisted officers, refusing to be handcuffed, which led to a physical takedown.
Officers also reported discovering multiple items of drug paraphernalia, including glassine packages and a glass pipe with burnt ends.
Dixon is currently held at the Pitt County Detention Center under a $40,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, January 20.
