MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas — A 33-year-old Cleveland man has been arrested in connection with an animal cruelty investigation, according to the Montgomery County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office.
Authorities identified the suspect as Delbert Hedrick III, who was taken into custody without incident on January 10, 2026. The investigation began nearly a year earlier, on January 12, 2025, after officials opened a case involving alleged cruelty to non-livestock animals.
Following the investigation, a warrant was issued for Hedrick’s arrest on November 5, 2025, charging him with a third-degree felony.
The Precinct 2 Constable’s Office emphasized its continued commitment to protecting animal welfare and holding individuals accountable in cases involving animal abuse. Officials noted that investigations of this nature remain a priority within the county.
