Bicholim police have arrested Pankaj Prakash Gurav (24), a resident of Sanquelim and native of Kolhapur, Maharashtra, for allegedly misappropriating Rs3.3 lakh intended for Instakart Services Private Limited, Sanquelim.
The complaint was filed by hub manager Sagar Anant Parab, who alleged that Gurav had delivered 15 high-value cash-on-delivery shipments but kept the collected payments for personal use instead of depositing them with the company.
After the complaint was lodged on Saturday evening, police issued a notice under Section 35(3) BNSS to the accused. Gurav failed to report to the police station as required, prompting authorities to trace and apprehend him near Bodke Ground, Sanquelim on Sunday.
The investigation is being handled by PSI Jayprakash Jankar of the Bicholim Police Station under the guidance of PI Vijay Rane Sardesai. Authorities are continuing to probe the case to recover the misappropriated funds and determine if others were involved.
