Moncks Corner, S.C. — Five individuals have been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries in Berkeley County, where stolen goods valued at over $75,000 were recovered. The arrests follow an intense investigation by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspects arrested include Brandon Dale Taylor, 22, and Clifton O’Neal Walsh, 39, both charged with second-degree burglary and grand larceny for stolen items valued over $10,000. Shelby Ann Pyatt, 32, faces two counts of second-degree burglary, while Michael Alan White, 39, is charged with receiving stolen goods.

Iain Douglas Carder, 26, is currently incarcerated on unrelated charges of criminal sexual conduct with a minor but faces additional theft-related charges.

The sheriff’s office has been investigating multiple burglaries in the South Live Oak Drive area for the past two weeks, executing approximately 13 search warrants across the Tri-County area. Detectives have recovered stolen property and continue to investigate, with two suspects, David Alan Briggs, 56, and Diana Catherine Beylotte, 41, still wanted on charges of receiving stolen goods.

Sheriff Duane Lewis commended the teamwork of local law enforcement, saying, “Our detectives have worked day and night to recover stolen property and place offenders behind bars. We are actively seeking more information to assist with the ongoing investigation.”

All five arrested suspects were booked into the Hill-Finklea Detention Center. The investigation continues, and authorities urge anyone with additional information to come forward.
