Three alleged drug peddlers were arrested in Udhampur and Jammu districts on Saturday, with heroin recovered from their vehicles, police said.
Manik Oberoi and Sachin Kumar were apprehended after 4.23 grams of heroin were found in their car during a routine check at Rehambal in Udhampur, according to a police spokesperson. Oberoi was driving the car when the police stopped it for inspection.
In a separate operation, Sunil Choudhary, a resident of Suchetgarh, was arrested at Chakrohi in RS Pura, Jammu, after authorities recovered 3.30 grams of heroin from his vehicle.
All three accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigations are ongoing, the spokesperson added.
