HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. — A Horse Cave man has been sentenced to nearly a decade in prison.
Ivan Bernard Embry Jr., 48, received an 8-year prison sentence on multiple charges stemming from a 2024 incident. Court documents show Embry Jr. was charged with attempted murder, wanton endangerment, and persistent felony offender.
According to authorities, Embry Jr. admitted to firing at the victim, striking their vehicle, and reached a plea agreement with the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Under the plea deal, he agreed to serve up to eight years for first-degree wanton endangerment and discharge of a firearm.
Embry Jr.’s next court date was set for Monday, Jan. 5, after which he has been remanded to serve his sentence.
