POLLOCK, Idaho — A Pollock man was arrested Tuesday night following a hit-and-run crash and a series of alleged assaults, according to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested Benjamin Brault, 38, on a felony aggravated battery charge. He was also cited for multiple misdemeanors, including possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, leaving the scene of an accident, battery, driving under the influence, and disturbing the peace.
Authorities said dispatch received a report of a crash around 7:40 p.m. on Highway 95, south of Riggins. Investigators allege Brault assaulted several individuals before fleeing the scene.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies believe Brault was intoxicated at the time of the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
