Bilga Police have registered two separate cases under the NDPS Act following the recovery of narcotic substances during routine patrols and naka checks, resulting in the arrest of three accused from different locations.

In the first incident, a police party led by SI Kulwinder Singh was on patrol near Nehar Puli on Shamspur Road in Bilga on Saturday. During the operation, Kuldeep Singh, alias Monu, a resident of Bilga, was apprehended. A search revealed 23 intoxicating tablets, which were seized. A case under Sections 22, 61, and 85 of the NDPS Act was registered at Bilga Police Station, and investigations are ongoing to trace the source of the drugs.

In the second case, ASI Ravinder Singh apprehended Manoj Rathore from Ambedkar Nagar, Jalalabad, and Vipin Kumar, both residents of Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, near the old bus stand in Phillaur. The police recovered around 200 grams of opium and seized a motorcycle (PB-08-DM-2619) from their possession. A case was registered under Sections 18, 29, 61, and 85 of the NDPS Act. Authorities are investigating whether the duo is part of a larger inter-state drug network.
