PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man Friday afternoon in connection with alleged felony drug offenses, according to official booking documentation.
The suspect, identified as Solomon Luvell Long, was taken into custody under Report No. 296309, with the arrest officially logged at 2:50 p.m. on January 2, 2026.
Booking records indicate that Long is accused of selling a controlled substance within a protected area, a charge that carries enhanced penalties under Florida law when an alleged transaction occurs near designated locations such as schools, places of worship, or certain businesses. He also faces an additional allegation of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription.
Authorities did not immediately disclose the type of substance involved, the exact location of the alleged sale, or whether the arrest resulted from a planned investigation, surveillance operation, or traffic stop.
Long was booked into the Palm Beach County jail system, and the case will be forwarded to the State Attorney’s Office for prosecutorial review. Officials will determine whether formal charges will be filed and how the case will proceed through the judicial process.
As with all criminal matters, the allegations outlined are accusations only. Solomon Luvell Long is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
