Patna police arrested Neeraj Kumar (22) of Bahapur and Sonu Kumar (24) of Vaishali district, and detained a 15-year-old juvenile, for allegedly possessing 145 capsules resembling brown sugar, 160 grams of white powder suspected to be narcotics, and Rs96,000 in cash. The trio was reportedly operating a network for selling brown sugar and other dry narcotic substances in the Salimpur police station area.
Barh SDPO-2 Ayush Srivastava said the raid was conducted late Saturday night based on secret information about narcotics sales near the Durga temple on the old state highway near Rukanpura village. Following due procedures and in the presence of a magistrate, Neeraj was apprehended, and the substances and cash were recovered from his possession.
Based on Neeraj’s disclosures, Sonu was arrested and the minor detained. Police confirmed that all three were part of a network involved in the buying and selling of brown sugar and other dry narcotics. The arrested individuals were sent to judicial custody, and further investigations are ongoing.
