FARMVILLE, N.C. — A 35-year-old Washington woman was arrested on New Year’s Eve on multiple charges, including drug possession and child abuse, according to the Farmville Police Department.
Online records show Larrie Carroll faces felony possession of cocaine, misdemeanor possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of misdemeanor child abuse. She also faces several traffic-related charges, including displaying a fictitious license plate, driving without liability insurance, driving while license revoked (not impaired), and possession of an open container of alcohol in the passenger area of a vehicle.
According to arrest warrants, Carroll was found in possession of cocaine, marijuana, and a digital scale. Court documents allege that Carroll, the parent of two children under the age of 16, created a substantial risk of physical injury by allowing the children to be within reach of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Additional warrants allege Carroll knowingly displayed a fictitious registration plate, operated a vehicle without required insurance, and drove while her license was revoked. Authorities also reported finding an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle.
Carroll remains held at the Pitt County Jail without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026.
