NEW BERN, N.C. — A New Bern man has been arrested in connection with an embezzlement case involving more than $30,000 reported earlier this year, according to the Craven County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said they received a larceny report on Oct. 1 from a business located on Trent Boulevard. The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau launched an investigation and identified 50-year-old Michael Thomas Trowbridge of New Bern as the suspect.
Investigators arrested Trowbridge on Dec. 1 on a charge of felony embezzlement exceeding $30,000. He was served with a warrant and taken into custody at the Craven County Confinement Facility.
