In a significant security operation, six Bangladeshi nationals were arrested in Chitradurga, Karnataka, on November 18, 2024, during a routine patrol near Aravind Garments and White Wash Garments on Holalkere Road. The arrests, which were made in the second phase of Dhavalagiri Layout, have exposed an illegal infiltration and document forgery network operating within the region.

The suspects were identified as Shek Saifur Rohaman, Muhammed Suman Husen Ali, Majharul, Azizul Shaik, Muhammed Sakib Sikdar, and Sanowar Hossain. Following their apprehension, police officers found a series of fraudulent documents in their possession, which included fake Aadhaar cards, voter ID cards, labor cards, bank passbooks, PAN cards, and even a passport. These documents were allegedly procured through forged channels in Kolkata, where the accused had first entered India several years ago.

According to the police report, the suspects had illegally infiltrated into India via West Bengal, planning to settle in the country. They had been working in various states under false identities, with the intention of sustaining their livelihoods. Recently, the group had arrived in Chitradurga city for employment purposes, but their fraudulent documents raised suspicion during routine checks.

The police seized all the counterfeit documents for further investigation and legal action. Authorities are now preparing to initiate legal proceedings against the arrested individuals for their involvement in illegal infiltration, document forgery, and human trafficking.
