MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A DeSoto County woman has been arrested for allegedly defrauding Mississippi’s SNAP program of nearly $26,000.
Jasmine Lampkin was taken into custody on December 15, 2025, and faces multiple counts of fraud related to a state or federally funded program, according to the Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS).
MDHS claims Lampkin received $25,839 in SNAP benefits by failing to accurately report her household income. The department’s Investigations Division referred the case to the DeSoto County District Attorney’s Office, which reportedly indicted Lampkin on December 10. She was arrested shortly afterward.
Records from the DeSoto County Jail show that Lampkin posted bond on December 19. She is scheduled to make her first court appearance on January 14.
