ETOWAH COUNTY, Ala. — Christi Dewanna Peppers, 51, of Crossville, Alabama, has been arrested on drug trafficking charges following a joint law enforcement operation.
Sheriff Jonathan Horton reported that Peppers was stopped after agents from the Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit and the Marshall County Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop for a violation.
During the stop, authorities discovered 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine, clonazepam, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm in her vehicle. Peppers, who was on federal probation at the time, is being held in the Etowah County Jail on a $100,000 cash bond.
Officials stated the investigation is ongoing, and federal charges may be filed in connection with the case.
