The Nechwa police in Sikar district have arrested Shivraj (26) from Nechwa and Prem Chand (40) from Sujangarh for the brutal killing of a young bull. The suspects reportedly tried to evade arrest by disguising themselves in women’s gowns and hiding in an agricultural field near Sujangarh.

The incident occurred on Wednesday in Bawariya locality of Nechwa during a wedding celebration. Eyewitnesses stated that the bull collided with a jeep and was then repeatedly rammed by the driver, leading to its death. A video of the act quickly spread on social media, drawing widespread condemnation.

Following public outrage, cow activists and local leaders, including Gadota Mahant Mahavir Jati Maharaj and Mahant Dinesh Giri, gathered outside Nechwa police station demanding justice. Hundreds joined the demonstration, pressuring authorities to act swiftly.

Mobilized by the protests and viral footage, Nechwa police launched a manhunt and apprehended the suspects on Thursday. Further investigation is underway.
