Eight individuals were arrested following a major drug bust in New Hanover County, North Carolina. The investigation, led by the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office (NHCSO) Vice and Narcotics Division, began after a citizen reported suspected drug activity at a residence on Whispering Woods Court.
Detectives gathered sufficient evidence to obtain a search warrant for the home at 1522 Whispering Woods Court. During the operation, over 11 ounces of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and a firearm were seized.
“These items were recovered during the execution of multiple search and arrest warrants throughout the operation,” stated the NHCSO in a press release.
Sheriff Ed McMahon praised the team’s effort: “These arrests are a direct result of coordinated intelligence, vigilant investigation, and the ongoing commitment to keeping New Hanover County safe.”

All face charges related to drug trafficking, with the possibility of additional firearm-related offenses. The investigation is ongoing.
