HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Seven men are facing serious criminal charges and three juvenile girls have been safely reunited with their families following a major human trafficking investigation in Hartford, police announced.
The investigation, which began in May 2025, focused on the exploitation of minors. Authorities confirmed that three underage girls were rescued and returned to their families. The operation led to the arrest of seven men, all facing multiple felony charges related to child trafficking, sexual assault, and kidnapping.
The suspects and their charges are as follows:

3 counts of trafficking in persons
3 counts of kidnapping in the first degree
Sexual assault in the first degree
3 counts of risk of injury to a minor
3 counts of illegal sexual contact with a minor
👤 Bernard Mickens (38) – Hartford
Commercial sexual abuse of a minor
Sexual assault in the first degree
3 counts of kidnapping in the first degree
Unlawful restraint
Illegal sexual contact with a minor
3 counts of risk of injury to a minor
👤 Raheem Jones (51)
3 counts of trafficking in persons
3 counts of kidnapping in the first degree
Hindering prosecution in the first degree
3 counts of risk of injury to a minor
👤 Donovan Dun (20) – Hartford (Apprehended in Florida)

Strangulation, unlawful restraint, risk of injury, and illegal sexual contact with a minor
Dun was extradited from Port Charlotte, Florida and is being held on multiple felony counts.
