All are aged between 21 and 34 and hail from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. According to SP Rural Manpreet Singh, Parmveer, Shamsher, Gangandeep, and Karanveer directly carried out the heist, while the others were involved in planning and logistics.
Police recovered a pistol, a live cartridge, two motorcycles, and the stolen silver jewellery. SP Singh stated that the gang used their “legitimate” jobs as a front to blend into society and avoid suspicion.
The operation, led by Zirakpur SHO Jaskanwal Singh Sekhon and CIA Kharar in-charge, under the supervision of DSP Jaspinder Singh, used technical surveillance to track and nab the accused.
Investigations revealed the gang formed while working together and later plotted a series of targeted robberies. The suspects are currently being interrogated to determine their involvement in other criminal activities in the region.
